Outdoor Movies in Denver
An essential outdoor movie experience set in the iconic Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, Film on the Rocks has shaped and impacted Colorado audiences for over 2 decades.
Showcasing cult classics and beloved films under the stars to over 8,000 attendees per show, this summer series combines some of the best in culture, community, and views the city has to offer. It’s more than just movies: it’s a movie experience like no other.
“There’s nothing quite like watching a film like 2001: A Space Odyssey or Willy Wonka under the stars, surrounded by thousands of movie lovers. It’s community, it’s culture, and it’s a Colorado summer night at its best.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with pre-show entertainment taking the stage at 7 p.m., followed by the film presentation at 8:30 p.m. Each show will be emceed by local comedian, actor, and event host Janae Burris. Pre-show entertainment for the 2025 lineup includes a ComedyWorks comedian and musical performances by Big Dopes, The Martini Shot, School of Rock, blankslate, and Shrek Rave.
